  • The Restification of Ginger, My Magnum Xe

    Over the last 20 years I'vevdone the following to Ginger:
    1. Replaced the m8tor with a 400 ci pump gas race motor with forged internals
    2. Replaced transmission with street/strip 727
    3. Replaced rear end with 8.75 from 74 Charger, 3.55:1bgears with suregrip
    4. Painted under the hood
    5. Put a March Serpintine pulley system with polished Sandan AC compressor converted to R34
    6. Put Keystones with 235/15 TAs on
    7. Replaced the stereo with Infinity from 99 Durango
    8. Replaced all speakers with Pioneer
    9. Replace dash cluster with custom filled with Dakota Digital gauges
    10. Installed Schumacher headers and 2.5" dual exhaust with Flowmaster 40s and X pipe
    11. Replaced Ignition with Mopar Performance
    12. Replaced all four shocks
    13. Replaced radiator with high flow
    14. Replaced mechanical fuel pump with Holley Hugh flow
    15. Replace heads with Worked Edlebrock Performer, rockers with Garland Sharp and push Rods with Smith Brothers
    16. Replaced the carpet
    17. Restored the door panels
    18. Converted to power windows from 79 300
    19. Restored the head lights clear plastic
    20. Converted to floor shift with factory console and tilt steering column
    21. Replaced seats with powerseats with BMW could leather
    22. Replaced BMW seats with wider after market keather
    23. Replaced Dakota Digital gauges with set of electronic that look light white face analog
    24. Add Gear Vendors Overdrive and driveshaft with Aluminum from Victory
    25. Rechromed rear bumper
    26. Stripped, repaired and repainted car in black urethene with clear and UV addative
    27. Replaced Edelbrock intake and carb with Holley Sniper Throttle Body EFI
    28. Swamped chrome bumpers onto the Captain (79 GT) and powdercoated gloss black the GTs dull bumpers for the XE
    29. Replaced every bulb with LED
    30. Replaced courtesy light lens
    31. Replaced Keystone Uni-lug wheels (because they needed constant tightening) with 15X8 cast aluminum with TAs - 255s on front and 275s on back
    32. Replaced Trans pan with extra capacity cast aluminum Pam, with temp sensor for dash gauge
    33. Now have new rear springs on order from Espo

    The car needs a good detailing, and the bumpers a good buffing and wax to make shinnier
    more to come, so stay tuned.

ID:	6093 Making a little too much power for a stock flex plate. Replaced it with a B&M SFI race flexplate, which was twice as hard to install now that the overdrive has to also come out before the trans can.
